The NC Rams All Sports Booster Club's mission is to enrich and enhance athletics at New Canaan H.S. Understanding that the BOE has finite resources, the primary effort of the sports council is to enhance coaching resources. The Booster Club does this is by providing funding for additional certified coaches. Given that 950 of the 1351 students at NCHS or 70% of the student body participate in athletics, keeping the coach/athlete ratio reasonable is important. A lower coach to athlete ratio enables higher quality instruction and more frequent personal interactions between coaches and athletes. Additionally, the Booster Club supports professional development for all coaches and sponsors activities that celebrate the achievements of our coaches and athletes. We are the only group authorized to raise funds in support of athletics. The Booster Club supplements BOE by funding, organizing and administering summer sports camps, selling NCHS Spiritware and running a membership drive held every fall.
